CSAL Letters Issued on February 1, 2018

OFCCP has released 1,000 Corporate Scheduling Announcement Letters (CSALs) on February 1st, according to an update and Frequently Asked Questions on the OFCCP website. The letters were issued by national office and signed by new Director, Ondray Harris. CSALs were sent directly to establishments and give contractors advanced notice that one (or more) of their establishments appear in the list generated by the Federal Contractor Selection System (FCSS).

Corporate contacts are encouraged to reach out to their local offices, but corporations may also confirm with OFCCP whether an establishment was mailed a CSAL by e–mailing a written request on company letterhead to the Division of Program Operations at: OFCCP-DPO-Scheduling@dol.gov.

The website also includes the following information on the 2018 release:

  • Although there is no legal requirement that limits the number of establishments per contractor that OFCCP may schedule for compliance review, current FAQs indicate that no more than 10 establishments of a single contractor were placed on the 2018 scheduling list.
  • No more than four establishments of a single contractor are placed in a single OFCCP district office.
  • No establishment with review closed in the last five years is placed on the scheduling list.

As a reminder, a CSAL does not initiate an audit, however, contractors should be on the lookout for letters starting next month. OFCCP will begin mailing scheduling letters on March 19, 2018. And of course, establishments that do not receive a CSAL still may be subject to an audit as the list is not all–inclusive.
