Erika Morral, Ph.D.
Associate Principal Consultant
Erika Morral, Ph.D. is an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist and Associate Principal Consultant at DCI Consulting Group. As part of the Employment & Litigation Services Division, Erika provides consultation and support on developing, evaluating, and improving recruitment and selection systems. Erika’s primary areas of expertise include conducting job analyses, creating employee selection systems, developing pre-hire and promotional assessments, conducting validation research, and evaluating current hiring practices against best practices.
Erika joined DCI with nearly 20 years of experience working in both external and internal consulting—first, starting her career at the SilverStone Group, providing client support in the areas of job analysis, compensation, and employment law compliance. Following, she joined the American Institutes for Research where she led projects related to job analysis, personnel selection and certification, test development and validation, program evaluation, and training. Next, she became a founding member of the Indeed Assessments product team—leading the development and validation of hundreds of pre-hire screening tools and responsibly infusing artificial intelligence into the process. Finally, she joined the U.S. Office of Personnel Management where she consulted with hiring managers on effective, fair, and unbiased candidate selection, and ensured all hiring within the agency was compliant with federal employment laws, regulations, and executive orders.
Erika has a M.A. and Ph.D. in industrial/organizational psychology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and has earned HRCI’s Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification, SHRM’s Senior Certified Professional (SCP) certification, and World at Work’s Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation.
